PeekaLook

Kathy Sierra understands UI UX but more importantly she walks the walk as well as talks the talk. A recent article titled Cognitive Seduction and the “peekaboo” law points to neuroscientist Professor V.S Ramachandran work that tends to validate almost a year of my work and helps to make my case that search accuracy is not the end all, be all pivotal holy grail of the web.

Evolution has seen to it that the very act of searching for the hidden object is enjoyable, not just the final “aha” of recognition–lest you give up the chase.

Reading between her lines I see the glimmer of another powerful application strategy that harnesses ambient signaling, cognitive mapping and discovery engines queueing up to drive UX…Peek-a-Boo or in our case PeekaLook.

It’s great to feel a little love albiet ever so abstract after such a long haul.

I know, I know its just “happy” neurons in the hypothalamic nuclei

Thanks Kathy…

Thanks Ann…
